Kissing Tom as a dare & simply sleeping in the same bed as him is hardly declaring his undying love for him is it! And he said he fancied Faye, so what? She didn't say she fancied him back, she showed no interest in him, so he kissed Maisy? Big deal! So yes that IS perfectly normal behaviour actually & if you think it isn't then yes I'd say you were pretty naive to say the least...
