Jay just needs to shut up about the blinking food. There's great source of protein in beans and lentils and almost everything, like milk & such, has sufficient portions of protein for him to survive.
He won't starve, I think that's the most important thing he needs to think about. Besides if it bothered him that much, he would've left long time.
