I agree there was no need for Aaron to go on such a strop about it.

However comparing completing trashing the house with food like they did to throwing teddies and playing cards during a task in a task room is ridiculous!

No but the majority do and see no wrong in him. If Aaron had joined in the frosties fight and it was Jay for example going into the diary room calling him pathetic etc. We wouldn't be having this same conversation.

Did I make mention of what I would have preferred to have watched? I don't believe I did.

I did however make it very clear what my post was about - and it wasn't the viewing content - it was the behaviour of the housemates in respect of them ruining perfectly good food, causing one hell of a mess, and lobbing jam into the carpet.

Why is it? In some ways making the house a mess isn't as bad because they actually take responsibility for their actions and clear their own mess up, whereas when you make a mess in the task room you leave that burden to fall on someone else

You might want to stop pretending to know how everyone thinks, for one reason - you don't know how others think.

Aaron would not have ever become involved in such pathetic behaviour and wasting food, lobbing jam etc...... so the point you're making is completely invalid.

I and a group of other students have been raising funds and products to be donated for those starving in the world, how sick it is to see food wasted like this, scooped up and shoved in a bin when many people really in need could do with it.

There are old people in this country that likely cannot afford a box of cereal. To see food thrown all over is really bad.
I think the thing that surprised me most was the fact only Aaron found it as bad as I would have of all those in the house, had they been throwing around and destroying cigarettes there would be hell to pay from the smokers.

Objects, toys are different, pillow fights etc too, even perhaps one box of cereal but to have ruined so many is pathetic and their punishment should have been, that I would have given them anyway, no task for a shopping budget this week and only a basic shopping budget given since they seem to have food to throw around.

It's not fun, in this day and time with food prices soaring and people in need here and abroad, it is plainly wrong.

Simply because the house is the responsiblilty of the housemates to keep tidy, it's where they live . Task rooms are used for all sorts of tasks including messy ones and people are actually employed to clean those parts of the house up,it's their job, what they are employed for, if the housemates really cleaned up the task rooms those people would then be unemployed.

Joey, you have provided every good reason why there Aaron had every right to be appalled by this behaviour.

Like yourself, I have for years, raised monies for food Charities, namely The UN's World Food Programme and taken part in sleeping outside to raise money to help feed the homeless within the UK.

To see such a waste of food is disgraceful, as well as wrong on many levels.

I can see one glaringly obvious difference

The two people responsible for one were the ONLY two people opting out of the other

Oh darn it, here's another

The differences between the two events are minor, the difference between Aarons reaction's are literally poles apart.

This has not been a good development for Aaron.

It's not just the mess. It's the complete disregard and waste of food.

These things come far too easily to people these days: that they cannot comprehend WHY it's wrong. I find that quite staggering.

Yeah and if they want to have a bit of fun and throw some food around - which is nothing new in BB and CBB - then they can pay the price for that by cleaning it up, it was their decision to do it and so it was then their responsibility to clear up, which they did, so no harm done really

It's just frosties.

And you could say the same thing for Harry ordering excessive amounts of bananas and frosties in the first place that clearly weren't all going to be eaten.

Not one person has said anything should be shown instead of the housemates having fun though. Merely that some understand why Aaron got pissed off.

Yes because that's what happens in all the tasks. When they did the task of throwing the gunk over their heads, should they have cleaned up that mess as well then instead of leaving it to BB team to clean up?

Because you seem to think that after tasks they shouldn't leave the burden to fall on someone else so I presume you mean the BB team?

Did you see what the house looked like?

I shall say it again. Comparing food that was chucked all over the place and will be traipsed into the carpets and all around the house to throwing teddies and playing cards in a task room is ridiculous!

Oh and by the way, apart from Jay they were all throwing teddies, playing cards and dolls during the toy factory task and not one of them cleared it up afterwards so your argument against what I said is pointless and pathetic!

I can't believe this conversation is actually being had.

I seriously can't take you seriously if you think they were in the wrong for having a food fight on a TV show like Big Brother

Well they certainly weren't going to be eaten with Jay stamping all over them and destroying them, were they.

There is a difference between wanton waste and deliberate destruction of foodstuff.

oh I didnt realise the Big Brother scraps were sent off to starving people c,mon ...really? Thats the most irrelevant thing ive read in this thread so far...

Its Big Brother for goodness sakes a positive is that the company that makes frosted flakes are probably delighted to see their product all over the TV (and the floor)

Woah calm down a bit, I didn't say they should clear up the task room, and I take the point that they're often messy and there's people employed to do that job, however I still don't see the problem with them having a bit of fun and making a bit of a mess in the house considering they all pulled together and cleaned up the next morning
