OK rather than spending time writing out a reply(only for me to be told that I am wrong again), I will quote someone elses reply that I agree with 100% as its easier and less time consuming

He didn't say he sees no future with Faye or that he doesn't want to be with her. He confided in the Diary Room (that's what it's there for) that he wasn't sure him and Faye wanted the same things for the future and that he wasn't sure how he felt about that. He didn't say he'd made any decision about whether he wanted to be with her. He hasn't done anything Louise didn't do when telling Big Brother how she felt she had no chemistry with Jay.

If he had just randomly popped out with the comment to Faye saying "oh I'm not sure if we want the same things for the future", he would have left her feeling unnecessarily confused and worried, and I'm sure he'd still be being attacked, this time for being 'cruel and manipulative'. Perhaps, just perhaps, he was employing some tact and getting things off his mind to Big Brother so that he could organise his thoughts without causing any upset to Faye by getting into a serious discussion at an inappropriate time. He didn't make ANY decision about their future, he was just talking about what was worrying him. For all we know he could have been in there for an hour before Faye even came up in the conversation.
