Many moons ago, when I bought a new(ish) metro (M) reg (just incase anyone thought it was one of those really oooold ones , I was quoted £1200 fully comp (car was only worth £7,500!! ) so went under my dads insurance until turned 21

Now, with 10+ no claims bonus, female, low risk area & with partner on, my fully comp is approx £350 (weirdly its cheaper if you have a partner on)

Anyway, this year insurance rose in excess of around 40%, so Im not surprised at all she pays £3000 (although I AM surprised she hasn't worked out a way round it instead and pays that)
