Sources claim that the music mogul and X Factor boss offered 80s pop legend Sinitta double her jungle fee of £70,000 to stay off the show.

According to the Mirror, Simon - who used to date Sinitta - is worried that she might let slip some of his well-guarded secrets, which could possibly diminish his “Mr Nasty” TV image.

"She [Sinitta] thinks he's not happy. Simon has nothing to hide, but he is worried she will get loose-lipped and he likes to keep himself to himself,” an insider told the paper.

X Factor’s Simon Cowell begged Sinitta not to join I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here

Simon Cowell reportedly offered to double Sinitta’s ITV fee, if she agreed not to appear on I’m A celebrity Get Me Out Of Here.

It was previously claimed that the X Factor boss had lined up the job for his outspoken ex-girlfriend, but insiders say this is not true and actually, Cowell didn’t want her loose lips anywhere near the jungle.

Relations between the pair have reportedly become strained, since Cowell refused to give her a role on his new American X Factor series and sources say they are barely talking at present.

The So Macho singer’s decision to join the lineup of the ITV reality TV series – where she could spill many secrets about the music mogul – has allegedly added further pressure to their relationship and some say Cowell tried everything to talk her out of signing up.

One friend told The Sun: ‘She thinks he’s not happy.

‘Simon has nothing to hide, but he is worried she will get loose-lipped and he likes to keep himself to himself.’

However Cowell’s spokesman Max Clifford has denied the claims and insisted:

‘He is happy about her being in the jungle.’

Sinitta made her I’m A Celebrity debut last night, when she and Pat Sharp slept in cave filled with cockroaches overnight. We say slept, but in reality Pat snored while Sinitta stood stationary in the middle of the cave, trying her best to avoid all the insects and waiting for daylight to arrive.

She later tried to overcome her phobia of creepy crawlies by holding a bug in her hand for a few seconds. We hope it worked, or she’s going to have a tough time in coming weeks!

Sinitta wants X Factor boss Simon Cowell to join her on I'm A Celebrity!


New I’m A Celebrity campmate Sinitta wants her close friend, The X Factor boss Simon Cowell to join her in the jungle and help her overcome her phobias!

According to The Daily Star, the So Macho singer – who frequently appears on the ITV talent show – is so scared of snakes and spiders that panic attacks almost prevented her from taking part.

However, after having hypnotherapy sessions with Paul McKenna, she now feels confident enough to take on the critters – and would quite like to see Cowell do so as well.

The 45-year-old told the paper: “I haven’t told Simon I am doing this because he would have talked me out of it. I am fearful of everything from spiders and mice to witchetty grubs.

“I’d love Simon to be in the jungle. He loves animals and insects more than people and I would love to see everything through his eyes.”

Sinitta will be seen making her journey in to camp alongside DJ and former Fun House presenter Pat Sharp in tonight’s episode, at 8.30pm on ITV1.
