You watch Irish TV regularly then?

Georgia being in there has got our "backwater" radio stations talking about BB as well which will no doubt stop once she goes.

They might be talking about BB, but you can't even watch it over there anymore. So what's the point really?

Irish telly is bad. When I was there I had the misfortune to see the Irish version of Britain's Got Talent, except it wasn't officially part of the BGT franchise and was just some really bad knock off version with Shane from Boyzone as a judge. It was really really awful.

It doesn't matter squat how much Big Brother is talked about in Ireland. Channel 5 can't get ratings out of us. It's not measured over here.

And he's right - Ireland is an entertainment cesspit. RTE is a national embarrassment with most original drama and comedy for the past ten years being just absoloutely woeful.

Even RTE seem to have given up on it and most of their prime time slots are now devoted to pastiche, throw away crime shows designed to scare the balls off you so you stay indoors and watch more crappy, taxpayer funded telly.

I think this whole "Hey I'm Irish and I disagree!" carry on serves only to marginalized us.
