Getting back to the original question.

Having worked overseas in America for 11 years I can see why the original
poster is puzzled by the British reaction to the Twins. In America the
strategic style of gameplay is admired on shows such as 'Survivor'.
However there is a tendancy not to like this in the UK. So it is partly a
cultral preference issue.

Even as strategic players, there are many ways you can do this.
I think the Twins are precieved as playing with a cold ruthless style
that does not come down well.
This is opposite to players such as Yel Kwon on 'Survivor: Cook Islands'
who held on to the respect of his jury members.

And it's for that precise reason that Natalie in particular got the old heave ho on Friday night. You can bet her fellow witches Denise and Nicola will follow suit soon.

The Americans are showing the British housemates up - for it's the British ones that are being arrogant and downright nasty.

You heard the witches - so arrogant they are none of them could believe that Kirk and Natalie went - even she herself was gobsmacked. And you call the American's arrogant! LOL

It does kind of baffle me. This is the impression I get about BBUK. You have 12 or however many Housemates. They all know that whoever is the last one standing will get a massive cash prize but they're not supposed to want it. They're not supposed to try to get to the end. They're just supposed to be there to enjoy the experience. This must be the only game where it's a sin to actually try to play the game. The best way to play is to do so subtly.

But, on a high note, if the UK public doesn't like people who are playing the game, then Michael is your winner. I don't think he cares at all if he wins and is content to let whatever is going to happen happen.

Big Brother UK has never really been about competition. Ever.
When it started here it was ground-breaking reality TV.

A housemate who was plotting to influence nominations in the first series was thrown out, and was actually hated for his game plan.

Britain doesn't like a game-player in Big Brother. Its not that type of show here.

Not if that perisher on BOTS has got anything to do with it cant stand the bloke. Was it a fair assessment last night for BOTS to give Denise her appraisal by a friend who really felt for her and then give that other idiot the right to praise the twins, he didnt!!! He criticised them and the Americans. Not fair BOTS, not at all.
