it conveys a sense of carefree joie-de-vivre, but at the same time an informed whiff of direction. The way the beret flaps in the wind also suggests adventurism, but I think that's slightly undermined by the naivete of its eyes. The more I look, the less sure I am, but that's the wonder of it
