Season Overview
Big Brother is back for its thirteenth series, and its second to air on Channel 5.
For the thirteenth year, Big Brother has made a few changes to the format of the show. As well as changes to the format, Big Brother has refreshed the presenting line up with the most popular face of Big Brother returning to the show…
Big Brother 2012 will launch on Thursday 17th May 2012 and will last 93 days coming to an end on Friday 17th August 2012. The Launch of Big Brother 2012 will see the eventual 16 chosen Housemates enter the House. However, the launch won’t be as simple as you may think..
Presenting Line Up:
Davina McCall:
After leaving the show when it finished on Channel 4 in 2010, Davina initially turned down the offer to return to the show on Channel 5. However, after consideration, Davina McCall will return to Big Brother to front the main show throughout 2012. Davina will host the live shows of Big Brother as well as special shows, as well as being a regular guest on spin-off shows.
Emma Willis:
Emma Willis returns to Big Brother once again hosting spin-off show Big Brother’s Bit On The Side. Emma will host Bit On The Side alongside Alice Levine who returns to the show. The show is described in more detail below
Dermot O’Leary:
Dermot O’Leary returns to Big Brother after leaving the show in 2008 to present ITV’s “The X Factor”. Dermot will front returning spin-off show Big Brother’s Little Brother which is returning after ending in 2010, following the final Channel 4 series.
Show Details
MAIN SHOW:
The Main show will air at 9pm from Saturday –Thursday. The show will air the highlights from the previous day, giving viewers the recap of what has happened inside of the House
EVICTION SHOWS:
Eviction shows will air on Friday’s at 9pm, and again at 10:30pm. The first show will give viewers the highlights from the previous day as well as the round up from the week. The viewers at the end of the show will also find out who has been evicted. The second show will see the evicted Housemate leave the House and interviewed by Davina.
BIG BROTHER’S LITTLE BROTHER:
Big Brother’s Little Brother will air daily on Channel 5 at 6:25pm. The show will be hosted by Dermot O’Leary. The show will give viewers exclusive interviews with celebrities, Housemates as well as game shows and exclusive looks into the House.
BIG BROTHER’S BIT ON THE SIDE:
Big Brother’s Bit On The Side will air daily, Monday-Friday on Channel 5 and on 5* during the weekends. The show will air after the highlights show and the second eviction shows. The Saturday show will be hosted by Alice Levine only and will take the format of a chat-show. The Sunday show will be hosted by Alice Levine, with Emma Willis and Dermot O’Leary present as the team-captains of the Big Brother Game Show.
Another show is yet to be revealed, as well as the format changes..
