BB7 was one of the most popular to date. Audiences dropped in BB8 and thats common knowledge. |

BB3 at 5.8 was the peak, BB5 at 5.1 comes second, then it's all downhill ..... and that's a fact. Last edited by Omah; 25-05-2012 at 01:20 AM. |

With little live feed BB now is even more compliant. The voyeuristic element (which is the main point of the show) has been diminished. |

IIRC, Markus Blee was responsible for house design up BB5, after which it was taken over by Patrick Watson .....

![]() If we're judging how much the house is revamped by the amount of ratings the show gets why is this one still almost identical?

Who mentioned ratings? Not me ..... ![]() I merely pointed out that the period of "massive changes" (sic) to the house coincided with a decline in size of the show's audience - what you infer from that is up to you. For me, the design of the BB6 and BB7 houses marked a decline in production standards which coincided with radical changes to the format of the show instigated by the promotions of the dreadful Phil Edgar-Jones to Creative Director of the Endemol series in January 2006 and the awful Sharon Powers (from C4) to Executive Producer soon after. |

Again... the house structure has bugger all to do with the ratings. You are the one that brought ratings into it. Re-read the thread, everyone's discussing house design and structure. You've got the wrong end of the stick. Moving on...

![]() The house structure has, of course, always been a fundamental part of the production team's "creative" toolkit and has, from the start determined much of the HMs behaviour and the nature of the "season's" dynamics .....
