I was expected to be wowed but this is the most enderwlemed ive ever been about a BB house.
I agree. I miss the houses that looked like they could have been built in a completely different compound because they didn't resemble the previous year in any way shape or form. It was a way of getting into a new year and starting afresh, but channel 5's so far feels like one big dragged out series.

Obviously, the actual effort (or money) is no longer there.

It still feels like a normal series to celeb series change.

When you think of C4 BB7 - BB8 - BB9 - BB10 for example, the changes were massive.

That woman who thought the diary room corridor was the diary room last year outside this year's door. Wonder if she made the same mistake when she went in?

BB7 was one of the most popular to date.

From 4.7 in BB7 to 2.5 in BB10 is a drop .....

BB3 at 5.8 was the peak, BB5 at 5.1 comes second, then it's all downhill ..... and that's a fact.

But whats your point?

We are talking about the design of the house.

Noone even mentioned ratings?

Yes you are stating facts but facts that are just out of place in this thread

I think they'll just use different lighting or have it black with no coloured lights to make it feel different this year.

Hmmmm.

Does it come accross to you as a bit lazy though?

They have reused furniture for 4 series now and the bedroom has been the same theme since BB11.

It does, but it's only ever padded walls these days anyway so may as well use the same ones and just light them a different colour than change them for the sake of making the new colour stronger or having a slightly different style of padding. As long as the chair's different. I like the idea of a black wall with the light changed to a different colour from the multi-colour eye to match the mood like the BB7 living room walls (red before an eviction, green when the wild card goes in or someone wins something).

Jordan was talking about massive changes in house design/structure, what the hell have the ratings got to do with it?

The so-called "massive changes" coincided with the decline in popularity of the series.

IIRC, Markus Blee was responsible for house design up BB5, after which it was taken over by Patrick Watson .....

Having a house full of women in the first week was a massive mistake & the series never recovered.

BB8 was the first series after Jade/Shilpa and the first series to suffer from Channel 4 compliance (the immediate expulsion of Emily at 4 in the morning being the first obvious manifestation of it).

With little live feed BB now is even more compliant. The voyeuristic element (which is the main point of the show) has been diminished.

How do skyscrapers symbolise Las Vegas though? Lol I'd understand if there was an elvis statue or bright lights and maybe a little fountain lol but don't get it
