I don't know.
I didn't realise how much I loved them until I'd left but I'm still only 21. I'll probably be able to answer in 10 years. |

Yes, easily, got on with mostly everyone at school, floated between groups and never got bullied. no responsibilities apart from handing homework in on time. That was the life

I think they are the easiest days of your life, barely any responsibilties, no hard graft work etc. but I dont think they will be my best days, I look forward to exploring whats out there and being able to do more what I want to do.

Well I only left 2 years ago but so far definitely. I was actually near my old school the other day and they've demolished loads of it to make way for a new building, it was quite sad to see tbh.

I'm only 22 so I can't speak with much conviction but from what little life experience I have I'd agree. I think I was one of the few people who actively enjoyed school whilst I was there and in hindsight. I miss skiving lessons and going to the sports fields to listen to music and hang out, and taking afternoons off to party... and the academic side too, sure

School, for the most part, was pretty ****ty. Still got uni to experience though.
Things like pursuing a career that I enjoy, travelling around, experiencing things I could never do as a student while stuck at a school, sounds miles better. Less responsibilities at school, but a lot less freedom too. To me, if you're on your death bead looking back at life and consider your schools years to be the best, you really ****ed up in the latter stages of your life. You didn't pursue any dreams you may have had, experienced everything that being an adult lets you. There's so much to see and do. idk, I just think it's a crappy attitude to have. |

I'd say so. Like others have said, there's no real responsibility. I actually don't want to leave school. Everything's so easy right now and once I leave, life will just get much more complicated.

That's why I think school isn't the best part of my life, it's too depressing to think that it was, it's like having no hope.

Deffo the best days. I just left a couple of months ago but when I think back to all the stuff that happened I don't think it can be topped unless I get into uni next year and after that it will probs just be meh.

I got bullied, had several breakdowns, failed my subjects, only got along with three of my teachers. So no, were they **** the best days of my life.

There were likely many things I would have rather been doing but school was great for me and I had really good friends all through so I voted yes.
Best days of my life though are when I am with my family and close friends really. |

Absolutely!
As I said in another thread, you don't realise it until you've left. No worries, loads of mates, having fun and just enjoying yourself. It seems just so easy looking back. I loved school. Once everyone ends up going to different uni's you see a handful of them every now and again on reading weeks etc but in the end you inevitably lose touch. I'd love to just go back for a week as I am now! Don't get me wrong I love my life NOW also, but I adored school days. Last edited by LaLaLand; 31-05-2012 at 11:26 PM. |

From the social aspect, I would do it so differently if I were to rewind and do it again.
