Having been disqualified for taking too long to return to action with an injury, the Sydney champion reacted by shoving the referee and kicking him in the head.

British sprinter Dwain Chambers will face Usain Bolt over 100m in Ostrava in the Czech Republic later this month.
The race, on 25 May, will be Chambers' first at such a significant athletics event for six years.

A British Greco-Roman wrestler who has tested positive for amphetamines could be offered a fast-track disciplinary hearing to give him the chance to clear his name in time for the Olympics.

Great Britain's men defeated India 4-2 on day two of the Olympic hockey test event after the GB women maintained their 100% record by beating China 3-0.
Ashley Jackson scored twice as the men looked a different side to the one beaten 3-1 by Germany on Wednesday, particularly in the first half.
Earlier, two Crista Cullen goals helped a dominant women's team to victory.

I think there should be an Olympics sub-forum made for the duration of the games, then we could have different threads for different types of events eg. a running thread, a throwing thread, so that we're not all sat in one thread discussing completely different ****.
