You've misinterpreted what I said. I was saying that it would be a joke if Luke S didn't really care about the money. However, it comes off as hostile because of the way that Luke S reacts. If Luke S had instead ran up to Deana and tickled her or something while laughing, nobody would ever make such a fuss. And based on what Luke S' repeatedly says about not caring about money, he should not be reacting in this manner to what would otherwise be a benign comment.
