January fills me with dread, its a depressing month, esp straight after new year, always seems such an anti climax. Do you have a lot of bad weather, snow etc in Scotland at that time?

Not really.. Obviouslt the ski resorts up north have a lot of snow but we usually have fairly mild winters without extremities.... until 2 years ago that is! That was the worst winter I can remember; the snow was 2/3 feet deep in places.. stayed around for two months and we had temperatures aslow as -20.

Last winter was back to nmormal though.. everybody had bought their snow shovels and their wellies etc.. and we didn't get any snow at all!
