Thanks Ammi. You'll 'know' who it is (so to speak), I often referred to her in pms. She's putting the big brave face on but she's not doing a good job of hiding her worry. The docs are 'sure' lumps are benign - not that that is a reassurance till she gets the results.

I find that the person who has the cancer is the one who puts the brave face on to protect others ,esp family ,hope she goes on ok xxx

That's true. I would do the same if it was me. You don't want your family to worry.

Looks like my mum also kept it a secret from everyone. I think she knew she was sick, but didn't want us to worry.

Its what Mums do, i had my lump 8 months before I went Drs ,VERY,VERY lucky to still be here

Glad it was ok for you in the end.

My mum did the same....luckily wasn't cancer but went for all the tests, biopsies etc on her own - like u said its what mums do.
