Robson has qualified for China but Watson didn't but if somebody pulls out I think she'll be the Lucky Loser and get a spot in the main draw

Robson has a nifty little draw, could get to the second round easily. And push Vinci

Suppose it would be good for British Tennis but i don't support people based on their nationality, it's different in the Olympics and International football, Cricket,Rugby etc because they are playing for the country then.. it's Tennis your pretty much playing for yourself.. unless it's the Davis cup and all that

And plus our British players don't really have much personality do they? Murray, Robson, Watson, Ward, Keothavong.... Team Bore
If only we had a Male Tsonga and a female Vika

Date shouldn't be a problem. She's only won two matches on the main tour this year and only one of them was top 100. Vinci - well, she beat her a couple if months ago on clay, but the Italian seems to be in better form right - title in Dallas, quarters of the US Open. I wouldn't be surprised at any result.

I'm hoping she can push Vinci to three or surprise us with a good solid performance.

Meh, it's either all or nothing for me. If you don't like a player because of their personality (or lack of) then I don't see why you should suddenly start supporting them because of their nationality when it suits.

Because your supporting the Country and putting your dislike for the player aside for your country

All hail the Moyesiah

I see what you mean that in tennis people are more representing themselves as individuals most of the time, though I also think it's natural for people to be more inclined to support people of the same nationality

I don't get why you'd want to not support them after the Olympics though.

It's the same way that when John Terry and Steven Gerard play for their clubs in Football i would hate them, but when they play for England I put the hate aside and support the people playing for our country.
