I guess I have a Morrison which is near us, which is accessible from one of the major roads out the city. Or there is an ASDA which is the nearest supermarket towards town.

There are about 7 different Tesco's within a 5 minute drive from my house, but the actual closest one is about 3 minutes walk away. It's kinda ridiculous though. I want an M&S Food instead because their stuff is lovely.

Tesco is up the road. Though Ireland doesn't have Asda, Morrisons or Sainsburys so only really Tesco left.

Well not really
We're a different country. We have a couple of Irish supermarkets like SuperValue and Dunnes Stores but I never really think of them as supermarkets.

Morrisons is the nearest big supermarket, it's about half an hours walk (at a brisk pace) usually get a taxi back if I'm doing a big shop, costs about a fiver, whereas if I got the bus both ways it would be Ł4.80 and I would still have to walk half the route, as it's a bit out the way, plus if you have freezer stuff you need to get it home quickly.
We do have a Tesco Metro on our doorstep, literally about 5 mins walk away, but the choice is pretty limited and it's more expensive.

Within about a 3 mile radius: 2 24hr Asdas, 2 Aldis, 1 Lidl, 2 Tesco 24hrs, 1 Tesco Express, 1 Morrisons, 1 Sainsburys.
The Asda & Tescos 24hrs are great for when you get a notion for something late at night or in the wee small hours. |

All the supermarkets seem to be in the exact same place. We have a tesco, a morrisons and an iceland within a minutes walk of each other. Takes me 20 mins to get into town though, none round where I live.
Theres a netto about 5 mins away from those 3 too. Last edited by Vicky.; 23-10-2012 at 04:15 PM. |

A small Co-op 5 mins walk away, but I find that can be expensive, and a Morrisons in which I do most of my shopping, which is 15 mins walk away.
