She went missing and was ultimately found murdered it turned out in the end that the sun and news of the world had hacked her mobile phone and were recording then deleting her answerphone messages to make room for more messages that led here mum and dad and the police to believe she was still alive during the hunt for her. Throwing the police off their hunt for her and giving her parents false hope because her mobile messages were still active.
But as sherif says its only 20p so it doesnt matter.
