Vicky, buy some homeopathic Arnica tablets and take them into hospital with you. Start taking them right after the birth and you'll heal quicker.

Will do. Am at gateshead atm (as its closer to the hospital and I convinced myself I would be going into labour last night ) and theres a herb/alternative medicine place just round the corner so when I can be arsed to get ready will go and see if they have any

Unless its not altenrnative medicine and they sell it in boots or something, in which case I have never heard of it

Boots definitely sell Arnica cream but I'm not sure about the tablets. The health store would be your best bet I think

Yes apparently a lot of people poop. One of my reservations about a water birth. At least if you poo when doing it on land they can get rid of it...in the pool it will just float around you
