I'm a committed toilet roll dabber, and never shake unless I'm at a urinal and I'm without options.

Shaking is inconsistent and doesn't remove the excess, whereas dabbing is guaranteed for dryness and clean underwear.

if anything pulling down trousers and sitting down is alot more effort than simply standing up
