I still don't understand understand this game. Are we just voting for who we like the most? What does the person who wins actually get? do they get to be a mod?

Yes, you're pretty much right. It's really just for entertainment and there's no award or anything afterwards. It's fun to either take part in or just observe. Last year was the first time it was done, there's always gonna be the popularity element, but games (although this is more an event than a game I suppose) tend to evolve on Tibb plus the fact its in different hands this time, being run by Ben, which is a good thing as you get the best of how it was already combined with new elements that a new host will bring. I know people have put forward some really good ideas in here to try and offset the popularity contest 'issue'. We might see something on those lines introduced, you never know.
