Channel 5 have to think about Demographics as well. BGT and Big Brother have the same 16-34 age demographic, so they would be idiots to put BB straight up against BGT, when in terms of media and ratings it's a bigger show

All that week the newspapers and magazines are free as BGT is over.
Plus it gives them a chance to start promoting from the last week in May.
To start building hype 2 weeks before launch day.

judging someone on their twitter followers is a bit stupid. Anyway, Brian and Emma are faces people recognise. Most people wouldn't recognise Marcus, nor even his name if they heard it.

Last year the Olympic-style promo premiered on 15th May for a June 5th launch.

We're expecting a 2nd week of June launch so the promo will probably be seen next week.

-May 11th eye release
-May 19th teaser clips

Big Brother 11 (Wednesday, June 9th Launch)
-May 17th teaser clips
-May 21st eye release

Big Brother 13 (Tuesday, June 5th Launch)
-May 7th eye reveal, eye flashes
-May 15th teaser clip

At this point, it looks like the most likely possible dates are...(i'm guessing they wouldn't launch on a Friday or Saturday)

Sunday, June 9th
Monday, June 10th
Tuesday, June 11th

It would be very unusual for it to air past the 11th of June. So given this, we SHOULD be getting eye flashes or something any day now. If not, then they are either seriously slacking or the launch will be way later than usual.

I miss the days when BB would launch in May. If it launches any later than June 11th, that is truly absurd...
