Legally it's Tina's I think but I'm not 100% sure biologically.

If it was Izzys egg, then it will be biologically Izzy's child (I dont watch corrie)

But I think you can get surrogates where your egg is implanted in another woman. In which case the child would biologically be yours.

I was asked a few months ago to be a surrogate for a gay couple actually...dont quite know how that would work, as the child couldnt be both of theirs I dont think..

I've always thought I would be ok with being a surrogate for someone close to me if they couldn't have kids but that'd be only if the child I was carrying wasn't biologically mine

I think I would only do it for family.

This guy that asked me..I'm kinda close to his boyfriend, but I had never really spoke to him. I found it extremely cheeky to be honest with you. If it had come from his boyfriend who I have known for years then it would have been different..but it was like being asked by a stranger :/

Aw yeah I wouldn't do it for someone I didn't know that well, no way. It'd have to be a family member or a very close friend, like there's probably only 3 of my friends I'd consider to be close enough

This reminds me of the story of the gay guy who helped his friend get pregnant, I assume she used the turkey baster method, anyhoo they grew apart and he found a partner and was living away happily until she got the CSA on to him for maintenance.

Enter into this type of arrangement at your peril.

Biologically it's Izzy and Gary's but legally Tina is the birth mother and can choose to keep the child if she wishes.

Yeah I've confused myself here. When I was going through IVF I looked into being an egg donor and I think they are classed as biologically the donor mother but I guess in Tina's case she wants to carry her child...I will have to look back through my stuff but just off out now....mmm sorry I may be causing confusion..

Yup I remember that story well. Some people were saying that the woman was right..and the guy should cough up for 'his' kid

The birth mother is the legal parent regardless of the baby's biology. To me that's backward and wrong but that's the law.

hhhmmmm, I just don't see why she'd risk carrying the child at her age if it's not even hers biologically anyway, but I suppose it'd be her husbands?
