maybe not a "nice" scent, but it's definitely a satisfying scent. Comforting and familiar. Sometimes I just give them a light fondle and smell my hand to make sure everything is as it should be.

Oh and for some reason I love the smell of cigarette smoke... my dad smoked when I was a kid and our car seats... I just associate it with the road trips we used to take when I was younger.

same here, the mowing of the lawns on saturdays by all the "dads" in my neighborhood, just filled the air with tons of pollen and particles. I hated freshly cut grass.

Apparently smell is the biggest trigger for memories of all the senses. I read that somewhere just recently.

Yeah, especially with the weather... certain levels of humidity I feel have different smells, and I can sometimes be reminded of certain days in the past.
