I just didn't find his act funny at all, his Tom Jones act on the final was horrific and some of the love for him was very patronising.

You disliked every single one of his one liners (some of which I quoted here) you dont think they were in any way clever or funny at all? really?

Oh no it'd be unfair of me to say I disliked his whole act, over the course of the show he had a fair couple that made me smile, it was more of his tired ones like 'I knew that wasn't my cup of tea' and stuff that was just like urgh, he had his moments, but as a whole, he wasn't for me, nice enough kid though.

"simmer down you don't cheer when I take your parking spots at tescos " etc some gags like the its not my cup of tea were smart yes that was pretty average fare but well delivered and good for a family audience .....his gag about the Olympics leaving a legacy like Greece was smart and topical...also.."simon cowell will buy the stadium, hes looking to downsize.......re horse scandal "horses for courses is now horses for main courses.....if a horse breaks a leg don't put them down, put them in the Paralympic dressage......Ive turned down doing adverts I hate when comics do that , it makes me sick, that's why I use barkers sickness tablets.......they tell me Ive got funny bones.....Its a very serious medical condition actually..." Now BGT is just a 5 minute skit, but its very hard and very few comics have done well on this show over the years.....for a 14 year old to do it, with stiff competition and 10 million viewers, to get second place (behind the pretty brilliant and original attraction) is just brilliant and an inspiration frankly to everyone especially disabled kids. whether he gets a long term career is hard to say.....being a comic must be hard work always looking for new material always being topical yet original always facing the wrath of the crowd....most comics are heroes imho Last edited by the truth; 10-06-2013 at 02:31 PM. |
