For me and it seems I am going into a minority view again, the person who was made a fool of,if anyone was in truth, was Dexter.
He made a statement as to Dan, then when asked to explain it, couldn't even find any convincing words or reasons that were credible.

Dexter then went on to have to retract part of the statement and admit he had been 'wrong' to say Dan was being bitchy.
Has Dan just to sit there and take criticism, justified and unjustified and not challenge it.
I certainly would challenge it and I actually really applaud Dexter,(who I like as much as Dan), too for having the grace to admit he said the wrong thing as to Dan too.

If Dexter cannot back something like insults or criticism up with a credible reason then he would be better not saying it until he is sure he can back it up.

Exactly. Dexter was shown up for the weasel he is and had no option other than to apologise.
