Took it too far in what way? She did nothing but talk to her friend in the house about it and then she gave Charlie a hug and made up with her (not that she'd actually even fallen out with her) God give the girl a break, she was pretty nice about something pretty hurtful (not that I think Charlie intended to hurt her but ****ing hell it was a horrible thing to ask someone)
