I have been with my "bloke" for nealy 37 years, and if he even thought of talking to me in that dictating tone he would have been out the door.
Talking seriously has nothing to do with talking aggressively.
The fact that he "allows " his girl to wear make up when she is out with her friends etc says a lot about him.
