Should just apologise for his actions and agree to seek help for any issues he may have.

There is no shame in asking for help and people would think a lot more of him if he did this rather than coming out with the same old clichéd excuses everybody else and his dog seems to be using.

My husband is a very large person - 6'7" 320 pounds and athletic. He has gotten verbally nasty when drunk when we were first together but learned to control it. He NEVER EVER put a hand on me and never would stand over me with a clenched fist like Daley did to Hazel. That right there is above and beyond across the line. I understand she instigated but much like my husband, Daley could have done a lot more physical damage to her than Hazel to him. So just his physical state alone of hands clenched and standing over her was above and beyond and normal "drunk" behavior!
