There have been many threads about Daley and his behavior, but this is about something that really bugs from his interview with Emma that I haven't seen discussed yet. He claims he is a 'lightweight' athlete who never drank much and was hungry and the alcohol did a number on him that day. Also he said he drank to fit in. I call bullsh*t:

First: I doubt he is not familiar with what drinking does to his body when he is hungry. This guy is not a wall flower. I am pretty sure he has gone out with his mates many times in his past and at least once has drank too much.

Second: When I have drank too much I do NOT get violent, make threats, etc. There is something wrong with him that he got so nasty.

Third: He again blames others indirectly for his behavior by saying he drank to fit in.

This defense he is claiming is such crap. He got drunk, got nasty, and no way this is the first time.

Yes he is in too much denial. He seriously needs help and I hoped this travesty would push him towards that. .Being allowed to do that on BOTS in a badly handled interview did him no favours whatsoever.

Yep agree with all that, all through the interview he blamed other people, things and circumstances. And not once did he apologize directly to Hazel, the person he assaulted

at least he agreed he did wrong and there was no excuse, except for the excuses he gave hahahahaha crazy. still think the whole girlfriend thing WHY WAS SHE THERE!!!! our whole debate last week just was pointless for the ones sticking up for her and the one's who didn't buy into her sob story, if it was that bad why was she waiting for him, and why EMMA did you p*ssy foot around the whole gf thing!!!!!

what got me was, and i think this is what i'd probably do. Is that He stayed away from the subject of Hazel and made out she was the bad one and that she kicked him out, he either hasn't been told about why he got thrown out and hadn't seen the footage of hazel upset that he had gone, or he was playing it up so he could get back with his gf, which looks like he has

HIM BEING A BOXER AND NEEDING TO STAY AT A CERTAIN WEIGHT AND FITNESS LEVEL WOULD SAY TO ME THAT ACTUALLY,SEEING AS HE HAS NO MATES, THE OPPOSITE WOULD BE TRUE.

I have never bought this defense. Drink doesn't change who you are AT ALL. It just removes your social constraints and lets you behave without caring what others think. When people are drunk that is if anything the REAL them, without the filters of normal everyday interaction.

He clearly has jealousy issues and is very controlling, he just manages to suppress that most of the time but when drunk it all flooded out.

As for Emma pussyfooting around the GF issue, please can we get it right... Its Piggytoeing around from now on !!

he doesn't think he done wrong as he is too busy blaming hazel and drink and any other thing he can think of.you need to blame youself if your truely sorry and willing to change. so he will do it again with someone. male female wont matter but he will , just the word finish you tells me all i need to know about him. and what he is really like,

he should of said sorry to hazel said sorry to his gf and said sorry for his actions. then he would have hope and redmemption. it doesn't help when the likes of emma are basically telling him what he did was justified and how wonderfull he is.

he will see one day. the guy has issues it will only end badly at some point in the future

Should just apologise for his actions and agree to seek help for any issues he may have.

There is no shame in asking for help and people would think a lot more of him if he did this rather than coming out with the same old clichéd excuses everybody else and his dog seems to be using.

My husband is a very large person - 6'7" 320 pounds and athletic. He has gotten verbally nasty when drunk when we were first together but learned to control it. He NEVER EVER put a hand on me and never would stand over me with a clenched fist like Daley did to Hazel. That right there is above and beyond across the line. I understand she instigated but much like my husband, Daley could have done a lot more physical damage to her than Hazel to him. So just his physical state alone of hands clenched and standing over her was above and beyond and normal "drunk" behavior!
