I agree it raised the issue of gender prejudice, and the double standards it may be that the behaviour hazel displays is incongruent who knows?

Yeah, Hazel is not even my favourite HM tbh, I just hate the double standards that are applied to women and men in similar situations

Men can walk around topless on a hot day, a woman doing that would get reported to the police.

How many men on this board have taken a sneaky toilet break, in public, during the day? And being drunk doesnt count. Im betting most. Now do a quick survey on the female members.

Men are also free to be compete sexist pigs in public. Wolf whistles, beeping horns, having a good look at the page 3 girl. We've all witnessed something of the sort.

Dressing up for a quick trot anywhere. I have collected my kids from school, unshaven, with unbrushed hair, with the clothes id been working in all day. No one battered an eye. Women are expected to make some effort with their appearance.

And the old favorite, sleeping around. Its still far more forgivable for a man to flirt, lie, cheat, have multiple partners and generally be a dog. A woman can be branded horrible names for doing one of the above, just once.

And that list is just off the top of my head.

Bringing it back to BB, dex has said that he has a gf, she had been on BOTS, and people still dont believe it. Imagine what would happen if the same happened with Charlie - the flood gates of hate would open, never to be closed...

The fact is men and women ARE different. Women produce eggs and carry a baby in their womb for nine months. Men do not have this burden. They are however sent off to die in wars, charged with being strong protectors and reviled for being weak or indecisive or easily led.

We both get away things that the other sex cannot. Women can get away bashing men much more easily than vice versa. Men can get away with much more sexual behaviour than women. Women don't get beaten to death for being gay. Men do.
