I think Dexter just doesn't quite realize just how vile a lot of the people in there really are. He's thinking he's had a good week and gone out of his way to get along with people (which he has!) and then he's surprised and a bit disappointed when he gets nominated yet again!
The majority of the in house Dexter hate we see goes on behind his back from cowards!
Even when the twins nominate him they say "yeah, we've been getting on much better with Dexter...........but we're going to nominate him anyway".
