And even if Charlie did approach Hazel and "lick her arse" it would be more to do with trying to keep the peace and reduce the tense atmosphere between them and in the house.

Hazel is a cow. She tried to turn the House against Charlie and failed. Now people are starting to see what she's really like. Extremely narcisistic is the right word.
