Here are the "facts" for you:
Sam has confronted Dexter twice - once after watching his video, once after being confronted for walking away after hurling an insult. The first time he backtracked, the second time, he couldn't wait to get out of the room.
Aside from that, he's spent plenty of time talking about others behind their backs, primarily to Callum, but not to their faces.
