Change 'best' for 'fakest' and you'd be spot on.

Dexter would have been a perfect Secrets & Lies winner, rather than the Llanelli Lager Lout.

Never mind. Runner up isn't bad and I'll bet over the years Dexter will make a great deal more money from his BB exposure than Sam's prize.

What I didn't like about Sam's win is that when it got down to just him and Dexter the producers only left the phone lines open for one minute or two max. Now how is that fair on Dexter? He wasn't even given a proper chance to catch up in the votes unlike other finals where the phone lines are open for a lot longer between the final 2 than it was last night between Sam and Dexter.

And I honestly don't think that the producers realize how serious people are about switching off after Sam's win, I've seen people be unhappy at winners in previous BB's before but never to this extent, I think the producers will be in for a shock when CBB airs on Thursday night, I'm predicting record lows for CBB's Launch Night.

Indeed it's not just a case of people being disappointed about their own favourite not winning or 'sour grapes'.

There seems to be genuine concern that such an abysmal housemate winning could be damaging for BB's future.

Since the VIEWING public voted him as the winner, I don't see the logic in what you are saying.

It's just compared to scum like Dex and Gina (at least Science and Coolio were real and true to themselves), i went with Sam.

Plus Charlie's whole handling of the Dex/Callum situation pissed me off.

Also me liking Callum also meant i was more drawn to Sam.
Now this also has killed BB off over the years, why vote for a Housemate to win just because they was nice to your favourite? This is an entertainment show so you should be voting for who entertains you the most not who's the nicest to my favourite.

Meh. The rightful winner is whoever gets the most votes

Dexter (and Gina) made the show this year though, and were ****ing fantastic housemates. They will be remembered when most people look back on this years show, not Sam. Much like when people think of BB6 they think Makosi, not Anthony

But SAM only won because GINXER split each others vote, plus why did they only leave the phone lines open for a minute when it was between Sam and Dexter?

Every other Housemate from that year is thought about before people think of Anthony.

Even Orlaith.

Nonsense. People make excuses every year as to why their fave didn't win. It could equally be said that Sam/the twins could have split each others votes.

I don't get the significance of how the phone lines only being open for a minute would affect the outcome of a vote.

The winner is always remembered. They enter the exclusive winners club.
I bet most people on this forum can reel off every winners name.

1. Dexter was not my favourite Gina was, but I can accept that Gina did genuinely lose.

2. Twins and Charlie was splintering each others votes, not Twins and Sam.

3. Of course the phone lines only being open for a minute could affect the outcome of the vote, Ginxter fans was not given enough time to unite in their voting of Dexter, how is that fair? And if it was the other way around you would be agreeing with me.

And if they had have left the phone lines open longer like they do in other finals and Sam still won then I wouldn't be complaining as much as believe it or not Sam is not one of my worst winners, that still goes to Anthony, Rachel, Pete, and Brian Belo for me.

I can remember ever winners name (excluding CBB as I dont really watch it) if I think hard enough. Its easier to name those who come to mind immediately when I think of the series though. And the only winners who fit that for me are Kate, Nadia, Pete and Aaron :S

Even Craig doesnt come to mind when I think of BB1. And I loved him. But its always Nick and noone else

Sam was treated far too generously by BB on shows like BOTS. The producers should be encouraging the public to vote uninteresting housemates out, not positively promoting them...... "so sweet" etc (of someone who, it turns out, is a bit of a yob - but that's another story!)

Inevitably this has an effect on voting.

Then there is the VTE v. VTS issue. Personally I would back the return of VTS but only if noms become noms to save and not to evict.

Sam could have been out in about week 3, which would be about right, IMO.

I'm sure the show doesn't change it's schedule to suit fans of certain HM's. The viewing public voted throughout the week for their winner, and that was Sam. End of story. I'm sure people will watch next series as usual. I wouldn't deny myself 10 weeks of entertainment just because I mightn't like the winner.

Wrong they didn't get a whole week the public only got 4 days, and if you can't see that Ginxter splintering each others votes and then BB rigging the votes with the phone lines closing quicker than usual (which you don't seem to get or don't want to get) made Sam's win much easier then I think you are being biased because you don't like Gina and Dexter.

I think all talk of rigging votes and fixes are nonsense, no matter who wins, so we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.

You can influence voting without rigging or fixing.

It can, and I believe has, been done on a more subtle level.

Hi Mock, sorry to disagree but Emma said we had 11 minutes after Gina came out to vote, I was actually voting for at least 7 minutes up the point where she said the lines had closed and then later went on to announce who had won.
