See your point.
But don't you find it a bit odd that BB seem to frown upon supposed "flirting" done by certain women on the show (and thanked for their bodies in a sterotypical type of way) yet Charlotte ends up the winner and a "lovely person" ?

You mean like how Courtney gets judged for a bit of innocent finger play ?
Or Hazel's non-sexual encounter ?

Aren't you just a bit suprised BB have nothing to say about Charlottes chosen lifestyle ?

'sexist gender stereotypes' what does this mean?
It's not unseen behaviour, it's everywhere... Women of all ages behave like this all the time. Is it in my opinion to be applauded? no.

Jack, contrary to what I think you believe, I'm not an old prudish woman who sits at home muttering about the "youth of today"... I have a large circle of friends, mainly 30 something's but a few in their 20s. We certainly still know how to have a good time.. We go out, drink a LOT, dance, sing, laugh and generally make complete arses of ourselves, but we all know in which company it's acceptable to act like this.. I would never swear in front of other folks parents, I would get completely wankered at a family wedding, I don't fart in front of ANYONE, I act polite and mannerable in new strange company.... This isn't confirming to gender stereotypes, it's called having a bit of ****ing decorum!

I can't disagree with any of that, there's definitely points to be raised from what you've just said. That doesn't negate the bile spouted at Charlotte though

I don't know where you've seen her swearing in front of other people's parents? Bit unfair to make an assumption like that based upon an exaggerated character role she plays and is paid for in a scripted reality show

I wouldn't fart in front of anyone because it's embarrassing to me, but I certainly don't care if anyone else does...I have much bigger issues to be worrying about.

I also don't see why you don't think she's polite either? She came across as a pretty nice person to me in the house beyond all the swearing and drinking...

It's scripted, but it's not cast like other actual acting roles. They have to start somewhere with the basis of their antics, her own behaviour will have got her on Geordie Shore. They liked it, hired her and exploited the type of person she is.

Well I see your point to some extent.
If there's any blame to be had (which we're debating), I certainly think it's not all at Charlotte's door.
If the show didn't want her on she wouldn't have gone on. (and they knew what she was like)

As far as I can gather Geordie Shore didn't arise from Charlotte, she was selected to be part of it ?
So why do people who blame Charlotte not blame the TV program too ?
Cos she's an easier target...
If it wasn't her I guess it would be someone else.

Think you're wrong to make out she's a rebel or on some kind of feminist mission though - she offered a half hearted apology tonight.

Jack, I don't think we're going to agree on this tbh

But put it this way (and I know you will DEFINITELY get this once you have kids if your own) my daughter will never ever grow up to be like Charlotte. Ill spend every day of the rest of her childhood making sure she matures with manners, modesty and morals.

Yes she does. Like, yes.

It's a scripted reality show. TOWIE, MIC and Geordie Shore are all the same (hence why I don't watch them). The people are casted and presented to the audience as 'themselves' but they are told by the directors to exaggerate certain aspects of their personality and effectively take on a persona as if it were a soap opera, so Mario is the 'nasty love rat' on TOWIE yet in the house most people seem to agree that he appears to be a pretty decent guy, no? The casts on these shows are paid and told to do certain things, so often certain arguments and relationship scenes will be set up and they'll be given directions as to how to play the scene out

The entire point of Geordie Shore is to watch them going out on the hunt for sex and to get battered, it's not a show for everyone (and not for me) but that IS the purpose of the show, so all of the cast members are given directions that that is what they want...

I'm not saying off-camera she talks like someone from Chelsea and doesn't drink but it is an exaggerated character, anyone that seriously believes she goes around in her every day life pissing on the street whilst out shopping and talking about dildoing herself with Betty on the checkout has seriously got the wrong idea

Could say the same about not watching Charlotte in general, don't pay her attention it you believe she's an attention seeking chavette.

I don't pay her attention. I watched CBB because I am a BB fan. Now I'm discussing what I've watched. I can't very well form an opinion on her without having watched first can I?

But rest assured I'm not going to be watching Geordie Shore again anytime in my lifetime.

Not what I was saying at all, there's no way it's a conscious cause of course not...but I do respect (whereas the majority berate) girls that refuse to adhere to these sexist stereotypes that they must not sleep around and they must not get smashed but it's perfectly alright for men to do so, I know one girl like it and she gets so much hate but God love her she does what she wants with HER life and I admire her <3

I would never want my daughter to act like that up until the age of 18, no, of course not...but as far as I'm concerned what my daughter would do with her body at that age I really would rather not know so long as she's careful, consenting and not hurting anyone then it's none of my business

I would say there is a thin line between her character on GS,and her real life character,so her chat with Betty may actually take place!!

What's with the omg?
She was picked for the show for being charlotte, that is her she had no scriptwriter in BB telling her to pee the bed did she?
I don't feel this complex mix of petulant child, rebellious teenager and socially retarded adult is entertaining or someone who deserved to be the winner of BB. That is my opinion.
