microwave beeps (especially at night)
the sound of other people eating really really OTT fire alarms... my first year at uni's flat's alarms were hellish. I remember being awoken by them and it was just horrible, almost made me feel sick from how piercing they were. (It was one continual burst of a high-pitched nature) people who press the 'stop' button on a bus when someone's already done it
