Default Compared to...

This time last year, how has your character/personality developed? Any major lessons and considering things differently to before or have there been no major development(s)?

It's a mixed bag for me personally. I've a clearer idea of my future and what to do next but nothing in the way of re-assessments and different opinions, particularly. At a push what with A-Levels intensifying in terms of difficulty perseverance and all those other overused, abstract character traits but that's it.

You?

Awwww Mizzy, it is only natural that you will feel down near the anniversary.
I am sure you think of your mam most days.
There will come a time when you mostly find yourself smiling when you think of her, but that sadness will still creep up on you now and then.
All takes time, the sadness will fade a bit but the good memories will stay.

..you know Mizzy, I still feel down on the anniversary of my dad's death and it's been 5 years, it's bound to bring associations of sadness at this time of year for you, that's understandable and if you need to feel sad for a little while, then just let yourself...and it has only been a year, there are so many significant dates in that first year...but you have also started your business as well, which is a great achievement and especially as it's been a tough year for you...your mum would probably be very proud of that.....

A law-related course, with any luck. There's a fair bit I've done that isn't directly related to it but hopefully psychology and sociology (which I've also studied) will provide a solid platform.

Still deciding on a career but we'll take it from there, I guess.

And Mizzy.

Yeah, they are quite time-consuming and there's an awful lot to get through but it's definitely well worth it. I just find it fascinating learning about why people are different and strata/groups in society. I also like learning about questions that people have about our very existence (and the possibility of a higher deity) but that's dabbling more into Philosophy.

Again, my career is still something I'm in the process of thinking about but yeah, going into it would be ace. Nothing too prestigious ... not a judge or barrister or owt like that ... but something still related is worth consideration.

I don't think you need English as an A-Level for most universities, but sound essay skills and critical analysis are a must in at least some capacity, which I suppose would extend to the likes of History.

..yeah, the case studies in psychology are quite extensive, it's just remembering which study each one is...but I'm sure you're pretty good at that...would you want to go into anything like social welfare, Redway..?...that's pretty rewarding and something you might like..and you do seem to have a real interest in people..also teaching....there is always a need for good teachers and someone as enthusiactic as you would be a good asset to a school...yeah, there are many directions you could go in, and often during your uni course, something will come along anyway and just appeal to you...I think you need to post some interesting 'people' threads on the forum lol....for research purposes, of course....

I thought History & English were the most important for a law degree.

I've become increasingly more jealous of Korean people

I've become even more confused about what I'm going to do with myself after college (uni/job wise)

Mizzy your mother will be so proud, you have achieved a lot this year!
Gone into business, sorted your home out, started writing, breeding your pooch...
Take some flowers, thinking of her is natural be thankful for the memories you have.
Chin up xx

...random lol..why is that Richard..?...also, you don't have to decide what you're going to do after uni yet..try not to think too far ahead Richard, because that does just get too confusing...try just to think about your next step, the other steps will come in time and then you'll think about them......
