Thats true, I know particularly with rabbits they grieve for one another, they bond for life and when their partner dies the follow shortly after as the grief is too much for them :-( it's so sad.

awww I remember when one of our dogs died 2 years ago, her and our other older dog were so close and he really grieved for her, every day for weeks after when he was being fed he would look over at where she used to be when they were being fed. We got a new dog and he doesn't mind her now but it's more like he tolerates her then likes her
