If they are charging you more than is required then that needs addressing, you may have other monthly outgoings that leave you short due to this overcharging.
It's well known that winter is a colder month and therefore you have to budget accordingly, it's better sat in your bank awaiting payment than theirs isn't it?
Unless you think it's your duty as a customer to boost their profits and pay for the privilege?
