Yeah, I think I feel the same.

I know that 'innocent until proven guilty' should stand but the evidence seems stacked pretty high.
Plus, I haven't read evidence so shocking since the Bulger case tbh.

Still, I find myself listening to their songs sometimes and find myself feeling bad for doing so.
But then one person shouldn't be able to taint the career of five people I guess...

I've stopped listening. I wrote in the "irritate thread" once that I was going through my old cd's, heard their song and remembered what he did. I hate peados with a passion so it's best to stop listening if you don't want to think about it everytime. They made some good tunes but they weren't THAT good.


I still don't understand how you rape a baby, especially a guy that was as great looking as him and could get any woman he wanted. (not saying how you look determines anything). Paedophilia, mental issue 100 %.

What evidence is floating about on tinternet? I know nothing about the case, really. I feel awful for the other bandmates having to ditch this stigma though... will never happen, most likely.

If there was one or even two charges you could probably make a case for him being innocent, with 24 charges against him there is no way he was not involved on some level. Throw the book at him.

Ex-Lostprophets frontman Ian Watkins has pleaded guilty to a number of sex offences, including two counts of attempting to rape an 11-month old baby.

The 36-year-old, from Pontypridd, had been charged with 24 sex offences and the trial began today (November 26) at Cardiff Crown Court. He appeared in court alongside two female co-defendants, who cannot be named for legal reasons.



Watkins denied two counts of raping an 11-month-old baby but admitted two counts of attempting to rape the child. This was accepted by the prosecution.

He also pleaded guilty to conspiracy to rape a child aged under 13, and conspiring to sexually assault a child under the age of 13.

The musician also admitted several charges of possessing indecent photographs of children and two counts of taking indecent photographs of children dating back to 2007 and 2008. Watkins also pleaded guilty to possession of extreme pornography of a person engaged in a sex act with an animal.

He also admitted aiding and abetting one of the female co-defendants sexually assault a child under the age of 13.

The initial charges included two separate counts of raping a baby, as well as conspiracy to rape another child, one count of sexual assault, one of aiding and abetting sexual assault by penetration and conspiracy to sexually assault a child.

The trial started this morning and Watkins initially denied all 24 charges.

After a panel of 22 jurors was picked from a pool of 72, proceedings were adjourned until 12.30pm, and then 2pm.

One of Watkins's co-defendants, a 21-year-old woman, pleaded guilty to aiding and abetting an attempted rape, aiding and abetting rape, two counts of sexually assaulting a child aged under 13 years, taking indecent photographs of children and distributing indecent photographs

His second co-defendant, a 24-year-old woman, pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a child aged under 13 by penetration.

She also pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a child under 13 by touching, conspiracy to rape a child under 13, conspiracy to sexually assault a girl under 13, two counts of indecent photographs of a child and a charge of distributing indecent photographs of children.

There's some weird people about

For anyone that has knowledge of law, I take it the difference between sexual assault and rape is that the latter involves penetration? Also, how come he can be named but the co-defendants are to remain anonymous for 'legal reasons'? Seems a bit unfair. And I read yesterday that jurors can't search the internet for details about the co-defendants, do they not know them by name either?
