Ratings in general are down across the board, also, as young people especially are in a phase of completely altering their viewing habits; lots of DVR, on-demand, and online viewing and far less watching live TV. Plus a huge increase in casual (especially smartphone) gaming. So even in figures where these are included, it's down. This is because casual viewers used to just watch "whatever's on telly" even if they weren't particularly interested in it, whereas now, if there's nothing on that people want to see, they'll just stick on something that's been recorded, go online, or play a game.

I fully believe if talent shows went off air for around 5 years and then came bck they would be strong again we just need 1 talent show a year through
