I don't have any issue with group sex because everyone involved has consented to that; but one person having sex with five individuals to me implies five different encounters; so maybe one after a dinner date, one at pre-drinks, one in a club, one after a club and then another one on the way home; not just five people queuing up to have sex with the one person. So I don't think those five people are going to be consenting to having sex with someone's sloppy fifths. I think it's disgusting behaviour and I don't think there's any justifying it, it's trampy and deserves to be looked down upon.

You don't think there's something disgusting about someone who has sex with five different people in one night, none of whom have any knowledge about the others? I said I don't have any problem with group sex, that's an entirely different thing, because everyone there knows what they're getting into. I don't think many people would agree to have sex with someone if they knew they were that person's fifth conquest of the day.

Yeah, I thought that Josy meant in the op that the case is of somebody who has sex with five people all of whom have consented to it, I do agree with Greg that gping around and meeting multiple, random people in one night is a completely different topic

I wouldn't have sex with more than one person in one day; so I'm putting myself in the position where if I were to have sex with someone, only to later find out I was lucky number five, I would be disgusted. They could be spreading diseases, they had no regard for your health, they were solely thinking about themselves and their own high sex drive. I would feel sick if I found out I'd been used by someone like that; and I would absolutely judge someone negatively if they were boasting about having sex with five people in one night. I would never get with somebody who would do that.

Yeah I'm not talking about group sex, I'm talking about five separate sexual acts with five separate people who are all unaware of the other encounters. I find that behaviour completely disgusting and unacceptable.

They could be spreading diseases? What is to say they are not having safe sex? People who have sex just once could spread a disease.

HPV, genital warts, genital herpes, oral herpes, scabies, crabs, glandular fever... unless they're wearing some kind of condom-mouth guard-body suit hybrid, then yes, they could quite easily be spreading diseases.

What if it was a Lee Ryan type that had inspired this debate instead of Luisa Zissman? Someone who we've seen plays women and has more than one on the go at a time? What if this hypothetical man has five separate women thinking they're exclusive and he's having sex with all of them but in his mind he's single - would you defend that Ben? As always, each to their own, but I don't see how anyone can defend this kind of behaviour, personally.

..I guess I can't understand why anyone judges anyone else's sex life or even has it occupy their thoughts at all..it's a completely personal thing and there are lots of things that I'm sure that I wouldn't personally do but have no problem if others do..I don't necessarily want to hear about it though because I have no interest in anyone else's personal sex life and never have but I would say that of the things that I do find 'disgusting' in life, other people's sex lives is one of them...

But you can say that about anything a bit unpleasant in life - we only care about issues if they affect us personally. I'm only judging it and having it "occupy my thoughts" because we have a thread discussing it at the moment. I don't care what other people do with their bodies unless it affects mine. I wouldn't care if my brother told me he'd slept with five people in one night but I would care if someone I'd been intimate with told me the same.

No offence Zee but I'd care if you didn't try and come across all high and mighty with your opinion. and my choice to defend that kind of behaviour.

Having people think you are exclusive is different from just sleeping with somebody, as that is a level of trust, and not what we are discussing? I'm referring to just instant one-night hook-ups, with which people just have sex there and then.

And if they are wearing condoms it is no different to somebody having sex with 5 people in a month, the health risks are the same (unless you mean having sex with 5 people ever night). If they choose not to use condoms then both people are at risk regardless of how many people they sleep with, and that is just stupidity on both party's.

But again, I don't go out and do that, but if people want to then let them. It doesn't effect me, I wouldn't sleep with them and it is their choice.

Lol. I'm discussing the topic, you're the one calling me judgmental and high and mighty, I haven't been condescending to you, I've asked you your opinions and have provided you with reasons why I think it's disgusting, you haven't said anything other than you wouldn't judge someone for doing it.

Actually, nobody specified the context of what we were discussing, which is why I brought the exclusivity aspect into the discussion because I think it's worth discussing - if you don't want to then that's up to you, I'm just giving my opinions. Regardless of the level of intimacy between the person sleeping with five people and the five individuals, I still find it disgusting behaviour. The health risks absolutely are not the same - if you sleep with five people in a night and then discover you've contracted something (and condoms can break, let's not forget) - you may have infected four people or you may have infected none because you caught it from your fifth partner. If you had sex with five people in a month you would be able to figure out when you caught the infection/disease by taking incubation into account and you would be able to be responsible about informing people. As I said to Ammi, I am responding to this topic by putting myself in the shoes of one of these five hypothetical partners. I don't care if anyone else does it, as long as it doesn't affect me personally. ...yeah, I agree that we do feel more emotional about stuff that we have personal experiences/associations with..that's definitely how I am anyway, when something really does bother me, it's usually because of a past association, which could be my own or someone else that I know and it's caused physical harm/violence etc...I guess that (so long as we're talking about the obvious precautions etc..)..I can't see that people's sex lives causes any harm to anyone other than possibly themselves...

I would like somebody to defend it for me and provide some counter points, because all I can think of are negatives. That's kind of the point of a debate, you enter it with your opinions and you discuss them with like minded people and people with entirely different opinions and hopefully at the end of it, all of you have learned something and maybe some of you have had your minds changed.
