The sooner Sir Alex realises he ****ed up picking Moyes then the better tbh. I know he's proud and all, but he needs to talk to Charlton asap. Can't believe LK wanted this clown to replace Sir Alex years ago . At least he got us to 20 titles to fall back on now while being Mid table under his endorsement .

lol it is an annoying defence of Moyes when people bang on about how Fergie didn't get immediate success and it took him a while, forgetting that United were terrible when Fergie took over

Not that terrible, he took over in 86 they finished 4th in 84/85 and 4th 85/86 won the FA cup in 85, had the England captain and best midfielder in the league in Bryan Robson, Mark Hughes was one of Europe's top strikers at the time, Paul Mcgrath one of the best defenders in the World, Norman Whiteside who was gonna be the next big thing, so they weren't that terrible.

Fair enough not really an era I know much about, had just looked it up and said they'd been 21st in the league when he took over but just realised that meant just from the first few months of the 86/87 season
