It is true that Robb's death was mainly a surprise because Locke had spent the last two years bigging him up to be the major character in the show, not just some muppet who gets outwitted by bloody Walder Frey

So it's been announced the show will end after 7 or 8 seasons. Been obvious for a while but it's completely impossible for GRRM to stay ahead of the show now, WoW won't be released until 2015 at the earliest when they'll already be finished shooting for Season 5 which will be AFFC/ADWD

GRRM travels a lot (even more with the show now) but refused to write anywhere but his own home. Plus he continues to edited short story collections that no one reads.

His last big project before GOT was Goal 2 nearly 10 years ago, meanwhile Madden is loving life and is going to be in the new disney Cinderella movie as Prince Charming. Another victory
