Well since school my 2 best mates were gay, I have grown up pretty much surrounded by gay people. In gateshead where I spend most of my time, I'm quite sure its nearly an equal ratio of gay/bi people to straight people, at least in the crowds I hang round with. And when I go for a night out, we tend to go to the gay scene rather than the 'regular' bars, partly because its a better night out and you get no trouble (whereas in regular bars people seem to get pissed just to fight) and partly because when we go out in a group there are usually at least 3/4 gay people with us who feel more comfortable in the gay bars.
I may think differently if my life hadnt been how it has..if it was rare to see a gay person or something
