The fact that we still have our monarchy though means that the landmarks aren't just relics of a bygone era like they would be in other countries, but they represent a lot more strongly the identity and the history of our country. It means they hold a great deal more relevance imo, and that they stand as a testament to the continuity of monarchy and its continued role in the UK and the world as a whole. Without the monarch you also lose all the ongoing traditions that still surround them, like the changing of the guard still gets watched by hundreds of people every time even though it happens so frequently.

And even with the losses taken into account I believe the royal wedding still boosted London's economy by £100m, I expect the jubilee was of similar benefit as well and there will have been a lot more jobs created to accommodate the tourism increase.

ADHD used to be just known as badly behaved kids. I know some kids actually do have it, but I also think a large number are diagnosed with it when they dont actually have it and are just little shits

I don't think it would though, places like Versailles or the Winter Palace may still attract interest and serve as sort of museums but there's not the same intrigue about them created by the fact there is still a reigning monarch at Buckingham palace. Also with Shakespeare well he is an individual of interest but his legacy remains in print, the legacy of the monarchy exists much more in outward physical symbols I think and this whole idea of lineage and dynasty. I also think with the UK the monarchy is our main selling point really, most of the main attractions are royal related and its hard to see them retaining the same intrigue if we decided we don't really want our royal family anymore. Think that we often forget how much interest other countries take in our monarchy, a lot of them may think its stupid but royal occasions also make massive news in a lot of places and turn the eyes of the world on Britain.

This is all speculation of course but I genuinely think we would lose a hell of a lot from getting rid of our monarchy

The monarchy represent nothing but pure evil, from
mass murders, to world wars, to land clearances, potatoe
famines, rape and pillage, evile empires....torture chambers....endless theft, total destruction of our constitution. the monarchy itself owns 2 million acres of our land, they even billions of pounds worth of da vinci paintings which the world never gets to see? and his many inventions, sketches etc this is just the tip of the iceberg

they are at the heart of corrupting totally our so called democracy. ultimately certain people in the UK are unaccountable, because the crown is unaccountable becuase they are the law. so anyone working for them ultimately is above the law.

to think we sing our national anthem for them instead of each our and forefathers and mothers, our friends and family and our wonderful land sickeens me to the core of my being. oh lets keep the mass murderers to open museums and have the odd tacky wedding which we pay for? even all the figures regarding their expenses and security costs are all lies. it costs us millions every time they go or do anything.
theyre an appalling example to everyone. even now when they still own the land of the bbc and control much of the media agenda....they still hunt and kill endless animals, yet preach to us on the other hand about saving animals and sit on these charities. only yesterday princess anne was banging on about gassing badgetrs in case of any tb...how humane anne>? theyre a disgusting bunch of freeloading parasites

..my ‘controversial’ opinion...I don’t think that I’ve ever known a child be diagnosed with a ‘disorder’ when they didn’t genuinely have one..often it takes a long time for a diagnosis and different things can be tested for because one disorder can be ‘suspected’ but it could turn out to be something else and this is discovered over time and with lots of organisations involved/care around the child and through many tests...there are many children who are just ‘naughty’ but that’s completely different and naughty’ children are still capable of learning, which is not always so for children with a behaviour disorder because their disorder prevents them from doing this...they forget stuff/have huge difficulties in concentration/are restless etc and basicially quite unhappy and confused children and with that, it manifests in anger/irritation because they just don’t have the same understanding as a child without a behavioural disorder would...school is a nightmare for them/social situations are a nightmare...just often any interaction with people/other children...but anywhere with ‘structure’ is particularly hard....although personally I’m quite dubious about medication being the ‘first treatment’, rather than trying different therapies...( that is getting less common now though..)...because they are such ‘mind sedating’ drugs, which can also hinder learning..I do feel quite strongly that so long as children are dismissed as ‘naughty’ without looking into what the reason for that behaviour is, then it’s basically denying them an education because they won’t get the help that they need for their understanding of things and also how to learn to be able to ‘control’ their disorder themselves over time...and it then continues on and on and into adult life with them always feeling like ‘outsiders’ and can develop into other 'disabilities' which can completely restrict their lives in many ways...also I should have said that most of the time, the whole family of the child feels isolated because the child can’t easily form friendships and parents are understandably ‘put off’ from inviting those children into their homes and ‘encouraging’ their children in an understanding of ‘the world of a child with a behaviour disorder’..anyway, it’s something that I feel extremely passionate about so it’s probably best if I just bow out of the thread/topic...
