Okay but seriously, this annoys me so much. This is the most simplistic change ever, and it resolves an actually goddamn flaw with the ****ing forum yet it's been completely ignored for three years now? Multiple users have said they don't know where to put tech threads, so clearly I'm not an isolated incident.

It's just a perfect showcase of how suggestions on this forum are about as effective as as trying to peal one potato with another potato. It just goes nowhere. BYE.

Because its specifically for spammy posts Its effectively a spam section, and as james said a lot of the stuff that goes in there would be perfectly fine in general chat. Stuff like the 'count to a million' thread and that, should they really count?

LOL at people saying post counts dont matter and arent a big deal, when the majority of moaning in here (and the main point of the thread) has been about...post counts

For the record I wouldnt care at all if post counts were disabled in the mod chat thread/infractions section or whatever. I think the only reason some people are taking this so seriously is because its another reason to moan.

I would support removing post counts all together also. Don't really see the point in them

Also I want my post count to be lower, not higher. Higher shows you have even less of a life Please disable them in general chat and SD too james

The Mod chat thread is probably responsible for about 1% of our post counts, if C&G posts counted they'd be responsible for about 95% of everyone's posts counts

Thread started last year...not that I see how it matters.

Not sure if james can remove the post counts for certain threads anyway, but if its going to stop everyone moaning then hopefully it gets done tbh, as I cant see any of us minding one bit either way.
